La Aurora Cameroon Corona

La Aurora Cameroon Corona Cigar
Living on the West Coast I feel pretty fortunate to review the new exclusive "Mid-Atlantic" release from La Aurora Cigars. These La Aurora Corona's mimic the Preferido line in every detail, (wrapper, binder and filler), except their size and shape. So let's move on to the cigar and see what it's all about.

This Corona is covered by a nice, seamless, Colorado Claro colored Cameroon wrapper. As you can see, there are a few smaller veins showing in the wrapper, but they aren't a defect, it's packed well full length, plus it's topped off with a tight triple cap. Both the cold foot, and the free cold draw have notes of sweet fermented tobacco.

Once the foot is toasted and the cigar is burning the first medium bodied mouthfuls of smoke have flavor notes of mild leather mixed with brown sugar. As the clean burn line moves up the cigar other flavors begin to appear. There are notes of toast, barnyard, sugar, creamy caramel, white pepper and charred oak. After a surprising fifty-five minute burn, the cigar finishes with a mix of black pepper and anise.

Overall this was a nice cigar. It had a hearty flavor mix, a nice burn time, (fifty-five minutes compares to most robustos I smoke), top of the line construction and carries an MSRP of $8.00. Nice!

There are six wrappers in this release meaning this is the first of a six part series. Pretty cool! I'm pretty stoked to smoke the other five! La Aurora Cigars are distributed by Miami Cigar and Company
